Welcome to the Agentstrap docs
Agentstrap is a third-party replacement for the standard Roblox bootstrapper. This is the complete guide to everything it does.
Matchmaker
Automatically join a place on launch, optionally preferring quieter servers so you never sit in a queue.
newCommand Center
Launch, update and repair Roblox from one screen, with a live status card for every part of the install.
newServer connection overlay
A toast on the Roblox window telling you which server you landed on and where its data centre is.
newDiagnostics
Eight health checks that find broken installs, bad permissions, conflicting mods and pending migrations.
Engine settings
Tweak Roblox's Fast Flags: anti-aliasing, texture quality, one-click preset bundles and a flag validator.
newDeployment channels
Pin Agentstrap to a specific Roblox release channel instead of always following production.
Modding
Swap cursors, sounds, fonts, the avatar background and the skybox. Changes survive Roblox updates.
newCustom window attributes
Force a fixed size, position and title on the Roblox window every single time it opens.
Game history
Rejoin a server you just left, with a list of every game from the current session.
Discord Rich Presence
Show what you're playing on your Discord profile, and let friends join through it.
newUpdates
Check Agentstrap, your installed mods and pending config migrations independently.
newNEXUS mode
An opt-in experimental feature channel, for people who want to see changes before everyone else.
What is Agentstrap?
Agentstrap is a third-party replacement for the standard Roblox bootstrapper. It runs the game through its own launcher, which means it can add features Roblox does not offer — a matchmaker, an in-game server overlay, mod support, a diagnostics suite — while staying completely separate from the game client itself.
Agentstrap is a fork of Bloxstrap. Everything Bloxstrap does, Agentstrap does, plus a substantial set of new features that you can read about in the Features section.
Requirements
Getting started
-
Download and run Agentstrap. The first launch opens the installer, which places Agentstrap in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Agentstrapby default — you can pick a different folder — and registers theroblox://protocol handler. - Open the Command Center. Agentstrap's default settings page has one-click buttons for launching Roblox and Roblox Studio, a live status panel and shortcuts to the other tools.
- Turn on what you want. Most features are off by default. The Integrations page is the master switch for anything that watches what you're playing.
- Press Save. Changes on every settings page are held until you press Save in the bottom-right of the settings window. The snackbar confirms it, and reminds you that changes apply on the next Roblox launch.
How these docs are organised
| Section | What you'll find there |
|---|---|
| Features | One page per capability, with the exact setting names, defaults and caveats. |
| Info | Background reading: privacy, bans, translations, and where your data lives. |
| Help | Step-by-step fixes for the problems people actually hit. |
| Developers | Who maintains Agentstrap, where the source lives, and how to report a bug. |
Getting help
If something here doesn't answer your question, the fastest route is the help section — it covers the failures people report most often. For anything else, open an issue on the issue tracker.
When you report a problem, running Diagnostics and attaching the report makes it far easier to help you. See Diagnostics for how to copy it.
